HOW TO SAVE ENERGY AND REDUCE FUEL BILLS

When I'm out on the job working in customers houses, I'm always surprised to see that very few people actually take steps towards reducing their electricity bill. And when I pass on my advice to them they often seem surprised at how simple a lot of these measures are. So I've listed some very simple things you can do to to cut your fuel bills and save energy.

  • Wash your laundry at 30°C
  • Only boil as much water as you need with your kettle
  • Always turn off your lights when you leave a room
  • Fit energy saving light bulbs in your home
  • Turn appliances off and avoid standby
  • Buy 'Energy Saving Recommended' white goods
  • Consider a Very PC for your next computer
